How do I choose a wedding veil?
Start with the dress and the venue, not the veil. A detailed or lace dress wants a plain tulle veil (bow or pearl); a simple dress can carry lace (mantilla). Short dresses and civil ceremonies suit a birdcage. Then pick the length for the photo you want: fingertip length shows the back of the dress, cathedral length makes the aisle shot. Match the white to your dress: ivory with ivory, bright white with bright white.
What veil length should I choose?
Fingertip (about 40 inches) is the safe choice: it shows the back of the dress and works for most silhouettes. Cathedral (108 inches and more) is for the aisle and the photos, and needs a bridesmaid to set it. Birdcage and bow veils stop at the shoulders and suit short dresses and second looks.
Will the veil colour match my dress?
Our tulle veils come in ivory and white; pick the one named on your dress label. If you are unsure, ivory is the more forgiving of the two under photo lighting. The mantilla is ivory lace.
